I’ll be speaking at the eBig User Experience program on Monday May 23rd about Rich Internet Applications with representatives from JWAY Group.
I’m basically going to discuss the different technology options for Web application front end development: Flash, AJAX, HTML, Java Applets, etc. and outline when/where each one shines. The JWAY folks are going to present/demo XUI (their Web application platform) that utilizes XML-defined user interface components to create DHTML applications with rich interactions (drag & drop, double-clicking, etc.)
The fun part should be the discussion at the end where we tackle things like “should we be adding these types of desktop interactions to Web pages”. Hope to see you there.
