UIUC Human Factors
Web Design
Completed: November 2003
The University of Illinois (UIUC) Human Factors Web presence needed
to present current human factors activities at UIUC in a timely, clear,
and professional manner. The Web site had to communicate the fact that
human factors at UIUC consists of cutting edge technologies and dedicated
people collaborating on serious and sophisticated research. Additionally,
the site needed to emphasize the fact that UIUC's current push toward
the future is firmly founded in its outstanding achievements of the
past.
LukeW solution:
In order to provide up to date content in an easy to navigate and visually
engaging Web site, LukeW Interface Designs built a custom content management
system to complement our interface design solution. This system allowed
faculty and students (who have little time to devote to Web maintenance)
to easily maintain information on their current activities through a
series of online forms. It also ensured visual design integrity and
a consistent user experience for visitors to the site.
